We are excited to announce that customers who have reserved the Crystal Super earlier this year can now turn this into a pre-order. The first limited batch will begin shipping in January 2025. Here are the details regarding the shipping process and payment terms:

Shipping Priority

If you made a reservation earlier this year, you can turn this into a pre-order. Please use the same email address and include your reservation number. We will use the time you made your reservation to determine your order in the queue, as long as you pre-order before December 25 00:00 PT.

Shipping Areas

The first batch will ship to the United States, United Kingdom, European Union, Switzerland, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, China, Japan, South Korea, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates and Kuwait. For customers outside these areas, we’re working diligently to expand shipping availability as soon as possible.

Upgrade Benefit for Crystal OG Owners

Pimax Crystal OG owners are eligible for the $399 upgrade benefit, which will be applied toward membership fees. This discount can be applied to a one-time payment or spread over 24 months.

Refund Policy

If you choose to cancel after paying the $999 fee, you are eligible for a full refund, subject to any payment or credit card processing fees as per third-party rules.

FAQs

  • You pay the base price of $999 and receive the headset.
  • If you like the headset, choose Pimax Prime, you can choose to pay at once for a discount (12% for Super), or you can keep trying the headset for 10 days (and then choose Prime), or refund.
  • After your 14 day trial period ends, refunds are no longer possible.
  • Any refunds issued will also include any costs paid for Pimax Prime.

For any technical issue through no fault of the user within the warranty, Pimax will replace the headset at no cost for the user. Any costs, including shipping , are covered by Pimax.

Yes. After 24 months (or if you decide to pay off Prime in one go), the whole headset is yours and you'll never be required to pay for any subscription. The subscription is tied to your headset, so even if you sell it, the subscription won't reset.

  • This refund policy from Pimax is quite good, users can try the headset for 14 days and then refund it if they want. (Many high-end VR brands do not offer any form of refund.)
  • We see this as offering more flexible options for users. Users can choose themselves to pay for Prime in one time or 24 months.
  • Again, 24 months is an option. Users can also just choose to pay in one-go and never have this situation.
  • Any contract duration left, users can also pay off the remainder of the months left, but then no discount (10% for Light and 12% for Super) is available.
  • Even then, every headset (including Pimax Prime) can be transferred twice in the duration of the contract.

You can pay Prime at once and you never have this situation occur. But yes, if you choose for monthly payments, and miss a payment, then the Pimax Play software will stop functioning, until you complete the payment.

As long as you pre-order using the same email address as you used for the reservation, our system will combine both and you will get the shipment based on timing of your reservation — as long as you pre-order before Christmas 2024.

You can place an order for the headset with your preferred optical engine now. We will also offer individual optical engines for purchase later, allowing you to buy the other engine separately when available.

No. The Crystal Super is a PCVR-only VR headset without batteries. It always needs to be connected by its DP cable, so it does not support wifi streaming or the 60G Airlink.
