Brand new and great setup

I just received my headset today. The setup and configuration was flawless and there are no problems with the headset at all. Playing DCS in VR sure changes the game. One thing that would be great is if you could remove or rotate the speakers out of the way so you could use your own headset.

I think the Pimax Crystal Light is amazing… when i can fit it to my face. Unfortunately the padding is very thin, almost as if they’re isn’t any.

This brings my face right up on the lenses - almost. With the lenses so close to my eyes, it’s impossible to focus properly. If i hold the unit away from my eyes I’m able to focus properly, but it takes both hands to hold the unit at just the right distance.

I tried the lenses correction wheel but it only goes to 72 - and the other way makes everything blurry. It may be I’m an anomaly and everyone else has no issue, but as it is, I’m unable to use the unit for any game or app without holding the unit with my hands.

Product Pros:
1. Pimax software is easy to use and connects well.
2. The clarity on the VR headset is a deal clincher. 2.8k crystal light vs 3.4k on apple vision pro. Difference isnt much.
3. Comfort level/ balance / weight is a NO FACTOR. Didn’t get bothered by it even after wearing for 2 hrs at stretch.

Product Cons:
1. The interface/ input/ feedback is better on apple vision pro than on this. Controllers are sometimes glitchy. Passthrough wasn’t working for some reason. Had to feel my way around my laptop’s keyboard.
2. Its heavy, lotsa wires going around your neck, but its manageable.
3. Had to recenter after every 1 minute. For some reason i kept getting placed out of the cockpit every time. No idea why.
4. Controllers, interaction is not as intuitive as i experienced on apple vision pro (few days before).
