Pimax Crystal Lighthouse Faceplate

Works as intended. I haven't lost tracking to the headset even once (x4 2.0 base stations). No issues at all. Easy to assemble and Pimax Play recognized it instantly. A must have for PCVR.

Love the lighthouse plate and the ability to use my index controls. Super accurate

I have added the Pimax Lighthouse Faceplate to my Pimax Crystal. The installation was quick and very easy. The faceplate easily picked up the lighthouse base stations, the Pimax software clearly shows whether the base stations are being registered or not. For the most part, performance is pretty good, I followed Pimax’s instructions for placement of the base stations and initial tracking is excellent. The only issue is with extreme movements while seated, looking straight down or down at the sides (as if sitting in a fighter jet cockpit) or by craning your head around to see behind. I use a motion rig and the faceplate is pretty much required for motion rig users.

Pimax Crystal is already amazing to be used with the provided controllers. However for certain gaming I wanted more precision with the controllers. So, I was so excited, when the Lighthouse Faceplate became available. Using the steam knuckles controllers with the base stations v2 just made my wish come true. Amazing how precise the use of the controllers is....no lag and no issues no more when moving the controllers out of sight of the headsets camera. The installation of the faceplate was also very simple.
The additional cost is definitely worth it. And once the headset can be used without the cable, it'll be even more amazing...looking forward to it.

My experience with the Lighthouse module.
I own Lighthouse 2.0. The installation and setup was easy and worked straight away. Test game was Half-Life:Alyx. Worked well!!

I still had to remove the module again. Because it often crashed during simulation, because you don't move much in simulations and there are slight but annoying jerks. Also switched off in inside-outside mode.
Furthermore, the volume buttons on the glasses do not work when the Lighthouse module is in use.

I also suspect that the battery power is no longer sufficient.
I also have to change the batteries often. Charging via USB hub is not enough. Shortly before the battery runs out, the glasses crash.
I also think that the batteries won't last long and will soon be unusable. This is the end of continuing to use Crystal. This is very annoying and I need a solution. Or new batteries.
