Last weekend, Pimax made a surprise appearance at the Utah Retro Gaming Expo—a fan-favorite event celebrating decades of gaming history, from classic arcade machines and vintage consoles to the latest in cutting-edge tech. The showcase was made possible by long-time VR advocate and tech creator Cameron Butterfield (CButters Tech), a VR veteran with over 18 years running his channel and past work with MaximumPC and AnandTech.
Cameron dedicated 12 hours over two days to bringing the Crystal Super experience to the expo floor. More than 89 attendees got hands-on time with the headset in a thrilling racing sim demo.
Crowds gathered as players tore through virtual tracks, and the feedback was unanimous—ultra-clear visuals, buttery-smooth performance, and deep immersion that set a new standard for racing simulation in VR. Some even called it the most realistic driving experience they had ever tried.
