Crystal vs. Crystal-Sim
These are actually the same headset at heart packaged into two different configuration bundles for our customers. Sim users often employ external control devices like wheels, pedals, and HOTAS units for flight. Due to this concentration on non-motion gaming, many simmers have no need for motion controllers. To suit those users the Crystal-Sim ditches the VR controllers and picks up a cool new limited edition faceplate in one of 4 colors. For ultra high-end simmers the Crystal Sim maintains compatibility with our optional Lighthouse Faceplate and base station tracking algorithms, a feature that can really come in handy once full-motion rigs are being used.

Hi,
the installation guide and the provided software should be improved. It took me 2 weeks to get the right links and downloads for the finally correct installation. Especially for that price, you should work on the installation guide an it’s neccessary additional software.
Finally the result is really cool.

Felt as if I was taking a chance between aero and Crystal.was prepared for potential difficulties by the many reviews. However installation was totally trouble free. Software is excellent and dfr is superb for fps.Very pleased with fov and clarity. Batteries no problem and have good lasting power. Negatives, too loose on face, side to side, 15mm foam would have been good. Have now got px lenses and certainly need 15mm now. Top strap is insufficient so instead of buying the”the apache strap” I cut some foam and Velcrode it to the top strap. Overall very pleased but the fit and foam would perfect it.

I have replaced my triple monitors with Pimax crystal sim and had them for 2 weeks and I have not had any issues that is being reported in YouTube or Reddit.
I get motion sickness with VR headset (that being my reason for using triple screen). However I do not enjoy drifting cars in triple screen and catching the slide does not feel right with it and waited for right VR headset. It was between Aero or Pimax crystal and after trying out crystal for 2 weeks, I am keeping it.

I'm writing this on the headset right now! It's a very solid headset, same as the Crystal. Just without the controllers. As I am a simmer/person who uses index controllers this was a perfect buy for my needs. I can't comment on the vanity faceplate or lighthouse faceplate as I haven't received it yet.
