Bought it with the "Switch to VR2.0" sale so I have a good frame of reference for VR stuff.
Comfortable, high field of view, high framerate, probably the least godrays of any VR headset.
Horrible sound. You can unplug the built in headphones and use your own, but then you have dangling headphone wires on each side clacking against the headset. They had to have known the users would unplug these and should have provided a better solution.
Crappy LCD. The colors are very muted. You can tweak them in Pitool, but you always end up with very washed out blacks. I haven't found a good solution for this.
Pitool. This software was a nightmare for the first week or so, and you need to use it in order to use the headset. I kept needed to restart my PC each time I wanted to use it.
And the last thing, the headset doesn't power off automatically. When you shut down the software it displays a splash screen of the logo until you manually turn off the headset by an obnoxiously long press of the power button. I know LCDs don't burn in that quickly, but it feels like a bad move to have a static logo display for potentially a long time.
