Due to the capacity limits of the Valve Index, it probably drives Base Station 2.0 to the verge of being “out of stock” from time to time.
It is recommended that if you’re doing simple roomscale in-home, there isn’t a tremendous advantage to 2.0 tracking over 1.0 tracking.
The real advantage comes if you’re doing any sort of commercial application (arcades, trade shows, and so on) or if you really want a larger playspace.
Therefore, for those playspaces less than 3.5 x 3.5m, it is strongly recommended that you give priority to the more cost-effective Base Station 1.0.
