Had a little bit of hard time to setup, but once it worked I notice a vast difference in quality from my old VR headsets both were htc vive and vive pro. No SDE and very high clarity also good customer service when I couldn't find my tracking number.
Overall is experience with the artisan is acceptable.I expected a higher bump in quality and feeling over my vive and honestly im a little dissappointed. The controllers keep drifting if i connect them to the headset, the fisheye effect is massive and the strap is really bad. The screens are good enough with a good enough pixel density.
Had problems getting up and going. I upgraded from the OG Vive so I already had the base stations set up and upgraded to the knuckle controllers when the index came out. I purchased this headset because of the FOV and lightweight design. I was having trouble getting the headset to track appropriately though, it would lose connection and I would be sent spinning, stomach was very upset trying to figure out what was going on. Turns out it was my xbox wireless adapter interfering with the headset, I unplugged that and all my issues were gone. Thanks again to support you have a happy customer.
I upgraded to the Artisan because I'm a fan of flight sims in VR. The Oculus and Vive both had way too visible SDE, and their resolutions were too low. The Artisan has a solid resolution and near invisible SDE. The increased refresh rate is also amazingly more comfortable.
With some tinkering the Artisan is much better than the Valve Index. I use my corsair headphones (wireless) so I cannot comment on the audio. I run a 9820x 10 core CPU, with a 2080ti 11gig GPU, and 128gig of ram. With no problems what so ever. (you need a powerful machine to have a good time in VR)
