I know it was for the purpose of security. However it’s becoming more and more annoying. The PimaxClient seems to have an option for auto sign-in, but still forgets about user/pass every week.

Every browser allow people to save user/pass to avoid this annoyance, but PimaxClient doesn’t save the user name nor the password.

Please stop this madness. You are actually making people to abandon PimaxClient and go back to PiTool.

Hi philpw99,

Thank you very much for your valuable suggestions and we are aware of this problematic phenomenon.

We are providing a link to a new version of Pimax PC, in which we have fixed the glitch and optimised some details. It is not officially available at the moment, I will provide the download link below: https://sh-dcc.oss-accelerate.aliyuncs.com/dcc/PimaxPC/PimaxClientSetup_Release_V1.8.0.21.03_202301200857.exe

We hope this helps you!

Holy moly ! This new client is great ! The 1.7 client takes like 20 to 30 seconds to recognize my Pimax 5k super, and this 1.8 client sees my headset right away !

Also, seems smart smoothing works great ! Now Play’A vr player now is using less 3D (20%), less video decode (50%) for a 8k video. The playback is smooth and hard to see anything wrong.

The only strange thing is that now Play’A VR player now is using 15% video encode. It never did things like this.

Overall I am very happy with this client.

Hi @philpw99

Thank you for the feedback you have provided.

This seems to be an unexpected issue and in general we are still polishing version 1.8 until it can be officially released, I will try to get this back to our software department.

Anyway, it is very encouraging to hear that you are happy with it, thank you!
