Updated Delivery Times for Upcoming Products

Updated Delivery Times for Upcoming Products
Below we share an updated timeschedule for several products. Most of these are slightly delayed for several reasons, ranging from slightly optimistic timeframes to a shortage of part, as well as further improvements to hardware. These tweaks — for instance, for the Crystal Super micro-OLED — not only further improved the visible field of view for the user, but also reduced more weight from the optical engine, and improved the lifetime stability of the device.

Crystal Super micro-OLED (headset and optical engine)

The production of the Crystal Super micro-OLED has started at the end of October. Starting from November, we will arrange shipments first for the additional beta test, and sequentially in the order of order payment.

In this video we show images of the production and address the last tweaks to the hardware:

QLED Optical Engines (57 PPD and Ultrawide)

We've started the production of QLED optical engines for the Crystal Super. All current orders for the 57 PPD will be completed by the end of November, while all current orders for Ultrawide optical engines will be completed in December — after which they will go through a quality check and subsequent shipment.

Crystal Super Lighthouse faceplate

The Crystal Super Lighthouse panel has entered the DVT phase, and mass production and phased shipment are planned to start in December 2025.

DMAS for Crystal Super pre-orders

Due to a high demand of DMAS Earphones, we ran into a temporary shortage of stock. Production is now resumed, and we have already shipped a large batch of orders this week — with new batches going out weekly. We will have caught up with the backlog of orders within one month.

Ice Silk Foam Face Foam

Similarly, the ice silk face foam for Crystal Super pre-orders has resumed production and shipment. We will have caught up with the backlog of orders within one month.

60G Airlink

Already in the start of this year, the external beta test of the Pimax 60G Airlink for the original Crystal started. While the visual performance has received great praise, there is still a lot of performance to be gained in terms of the stability of the connection for all users. We do not want a product that works for nearly everyone, but for everyone.

From the external beta test we have learned a lot, about user's room environments as well as different PC configurations and the impact these have on stability. We also are aware where these issues occur, in which part of the connection between the PC and headset. Hence, we're still working on improving the 60G Airlink before mass production and shipping, both on the hardware as on the software. This is not a total rehaul, but we want to really ship a fine-tuned product to everyone, not a beta version.

Wireless PCVR is really a hard technological challenge both in image quality and connection stability and we have seen multiple other companies try this before, and we're aiming to provide (what we think) is a much better solution. But for this we unfortunately still need some more time.

The current ETA for the 60G Airlink shipment is set for next year. Users will get an email confirmation when we're nearing shipping.
